When and where do you meet?
Sunday services run at 8:00 AM, 9:35 AM, and 11:10 AM in the Conference Hall, Niger Building, Nile University of Nigeria, Jabi, Abuja. Bible Study is Thursday at 5:00 PM and Prayers are Friday at 5:00 PM in the same venue. Hostel meetings run every day — 8:40 PM in White Nile Common Room for the girls (9:00 PM in the Dining Hall on Fridays) and 9:00 PM in Lake Chad Common Room for the boys.
I'm visiting for the first time. What should I expect?
Come as you are. Someone from the welcoming team will meet you at the door and an usher will help you find a seat. A service runs about an hour and a half and includes worship, prayer, and a message from Scripture. Let us know you're coming through the Plan a Visit page and someone will look out for you.
Do I have to be a student at Nile University to join?
The fellowship is part of Nile University, so its members are students here or otherwise connected to the university. Meetings are held on campus, which follows the university's own rules on who can come through the gate. If you are not sure whether that includes you, ask us — visitors are genuinely welcome at a service, and we would rather tell you plainly than have you turned away at the gate.
How do I become a member?
Fill in the membership form on the Membership page. As soon as you send it you will see the link to the members' WhatsApp group, which is where the day-to-day life of the fellowship happens.
How do I join a department?
You need to have graduated from the Discipleship School first. Once you have, choose the department that fits your gift on the Join a Department page and message the General Secretary on WhatsApp from there, saying which department and that you have completed the school. They will pass you to the department lead. There is a probation period on the team before you are fully welcomed in.
What is the Discipleship School?
A structured season of learning that grounds you in Scripture, prayer, identity in Christ, and how to walk out the Christian life on campus. It starts immediately after the Prayer Conference and runs for four weeks, ending with a graduation. The school meets every day: sessions are online at 8:00 PM, apart from Saturdays, when the class is held physically on campus at 12:00 PM. Teaching falls on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and every other night is a prayer session. The executives and pastorate teach, and the prayer department anchors it.
Is counselling confidential?
Yes. Sessions are held privately with one of our counsellors and what you share stays between you and them. To book one, the form asks for your name, phone number and gender, so the team can reach you and pair you with the right counsellor. The request itself goes to the counselling team and the main fellowship inbox, so keep it to what you are comfortable writing down — the detail can wait for the session. Nothing you send is recorded in any list.
