Fasting guidelines

  1. Fasting is not a hunger strike or weight loss plan! It is depriving yourself of fleshly pleasures to feed your spirit for a set time.
  2. The duration of fasting matters, but not as much as what you do during it! In these 6 days we will fast from 6 am to 6 pm. You can also do 6 am to 3 pm, just make sure the time is maximized!
  3. Starve the desires of your flesh! This includes not just food but also social media, unnecessary gists, conversations and games.
  4. Focus on your spirit! Use the daily meal plan: read, meditate and pray on them often. Stay conscious of the fast's purpose. Maximize your free time: read your Bible, watch sermons, listen to spirit-filled songs, and pray! Pray! Pray!
  5. What to do when you feel hungry while fasting?
    1. It is not a sin to feel hungry. Feeling hungry does not mean you should eat; eating defeats the purpose.
    2. Recall the focus of the fast and engage the meal plans.
    3. Pray, pray, pray!
    4. Avoid the food court.
    5. Stay hydrated.
    6. Do not carry your ATM card. Get it when it is time to break.
    7. Call someone fasting too. Accountability helps!
    8. Trust the Holy Spirit for strength!
  6. You do not need to let everyone know you are fasting!

FRESHER'S SUNDAY

Freshers Sunday is a special gathering designed to welcome new students into the NCF family and help them begin their journey in faith and community. It is a time of connection, and introduction to the fellowship as we create a welcoming environment where every student can belong and grow.

WORSHIP EXPERIENCE

Worship Experience is a special gathering focused on encountering God through heartfelt worship, praise, and the ministry of His Word. It falls within Prayer Conference week, so it comes in the middle of a season the whole fellowship is already praying through. It brings students together to express their love for God, experience His presence, and be refreshed through a powerful time of worship and fellowship.
