Growth in God asks for process — refinement, and letting go of what no longer bears fruit. Pruning is not punishment but preparation. God, as the vinedresser, removes what hinders our growth so that we can become more fruitful. Even when the cutting is uncomfortable, it is evidence of His deliberate work in us, and as we remain in Christ He keeps purifying us through His Word.
